The start of a new week

Well so much for my 30 Day Challenge. I did not make a post yesterday so I was unable to even make it for three consecutive days. It's alright though, because I made two posts on the first day so if I continue on I will still end up with 30 posts for the month of September. I had every intention of making a post last night but I fell asleep early. That is why I am doing this post first thing this morning. I am not giving up on this challenge!

Today is the beginning of the new week, and let me tell you, I am praying for it to be a much better week than last. In my post on Friday night I had said that I was trying to quit smoking. I only have a few more left and then hopefully the Lord gives me the strength to be done with it. I think that now is as good a time as any to try because there is no work tomorrow. If I can begin tomorrow smoke-free and have a day under my belt before returning to work it should be easier on Tuesday. Work is probably my biggest trigger and since I can not avoid work, I will have to be that much stronger.

The other good thing about it being the start of the new week is that I hopefully can figure out my car situation. A lady at our church has a co-worker that is selling a car and it has about 70,000 miles on it, but it has been well kept. I do not know the price, but I should find that out today. Also a co-worker of mine, her grandmother was rcently moved into an asisted living facility. She had said that her grandmother's car was available, but she is talking with her father this weekend. I hope and pray that out of these two situations so good will come.

I am going to wrap it up here, as it is time to start wakin the house up and get ready for church. Church is the most important reason for my excitment for the start of a new week. We begin our new Sunday School curriculum today, but the problem is that my wife and I have not received the new material for the kids yet. At this point we have nothing prepared so we shall see how this goes. I just as for everyone's prayers as I do begin this week and set ou to do some goal achieving. Lord Jesus, I lift my prayers up to you for this week and ask that You to continue to showerer me with Your blessings. Please hear my prayer and work in me to help me to become smoke-free. Thank you Father for all you have given me. It is through Your Son's most precious name that I pray...AMEN
