The Lighted Path

Spring is right around the corner and tonight/tomorrow morning for those who live in the areas where there is daylight savings, we take that first step. While it is true that we will lose an hour of sleep, it is a fair trade off for the longer days! Spring is one of my favorite seasons because everything begins to come alive again. Trees and flowers start to bloom, it gets warmer, stays lighter longer, what more could you ask for? I know that this winter wasn't too bad, but it was still winter. I do enjoy all of the seasons, and I am thankful for each one, but I would still prefer to live somewhere where it is 75-80 degrees all year-round. Okay okay so I am a month late to the party but it is still the new year! I thank God for blessing my family with another year and the opportunity to grow closer to His Word. I may not be perfect, heck I am a sinner, but I rejoice and take comfort in the sacrifice that God gave in His son Jesus Christ so that I may be released from the bondage of my sin. This year is my year to be thankful. I want to forget the things that I do not have and all of the trivial things, and just stay focused on all of the things that He has blessed me with. It is in His name ALWAYS! Brian

I would definitely like to see my blog take off. It almost seems that every blog regarding faith and Christianity are written by women and seemed to be geared, for the most part, towards women. I do not have a problem with them, and I do enjoy reading them, but where are the men? I know that there are probably plenty of blogs out there on faith that are written from a man's perspective for men, I just haven't found them. Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I have been doing a lot of reading this weekend on how to make my blog better and maybe even get some followers.  Thank you to Rebecca of the blog We Are Large, People  and her post for Blogger Buzz , Tips for New Bloggers .  This posting was packed with helpful tips, ideas, and references to other blogs whose posts on the topic were equally interesting and insightful.  As with most things this will be a slow transition with much trial and error.  One of the first changes that I have put into place is creating a Google+ (G+) page for The Lighted Path .  The Google+ page was just started today so there is not much content there as of yet, but it will act as a supplemental paged to this with additional content (pics, audio, video, etc.).  You can get to the Google+ page by clicking on the badge right over here to the left.  So I encourage you to please continue to check back here often.  Take care, and God Bless.
